This year I launched a monthly Meal-in-a-Jar group where I come up with recipes using Thrive’s monthly specials and we create 10-12 meals that you can put away in your pantry for quick easy dinners, or save for a few years for emergencies. I’m going to be publishing each months’ recipes on the blog here so we can keep it as an archive in case you sign up later and want to go back and look at some of the old recipes. So here is January’s recipe!
This month we are making a delicious Chicken Broccoli Rice Bake recipe using the chopped chicken and broccoli that are on sale in January! This recipe will fit in one quart jar and feed 4-6 people.
Chicken Broccoli Rice Bake Recipe
- 1/3 cup Thrive Veloute Gravy
- 1 tsp. Chef’s Choice Thrive Seasoning
- 2 T. Thrive Chopped Onions (FD)
- 1/3 cup Thrive Cheddar Cheese (FD)
- 1 1/4 cup Thrive Instant White Rice
- 1 cup Thrive Chopped Chicken (FD)
- 1 cup Thrive Broccoli (FD)
Cooking Directions: Combine ingredients with 3 1/4 cups of water in a 9×9 casserole dish. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes, stir halfway through.
Makes 10-12 quart jars
Add these items to your monthly delivery from Thrive Life. Try to not over-scoop so that you don’t run out of some of the items. Settling does occur in some of the products so if you plan for 10 jars you should have enough, but you might be able to get 12 out of them! You should have some leftovers of some items too.

1 spice can – Chef’s Choice Thrive Seasoning
1 pantry can – Thrive Chopped Onions (FD)
1 pantry can – Thrive Cheddar Cheese (FD)
1 #10 can and 1 pantry can – Thrive Instant White Rice
1 #10 can – Thrive Chopped Chicken (FD)
2 #10 can – Thrive Broccoli (FD)
Remember feel free to customize your delivery if you already have some of these items on hand or want to substitute a different product or brand. Also make sure to adjust your delivery each month for the new recipe so you don’t get sent the same items again!
