How do I prepare my samples, food supplies and cooking demo?
I have 3 separate bags. One has the samples we will eat with samples cups along side. One has the extra cans just for display. The last tote has my equipment, measuring spoons, ingredients, recipe for the cooking demo all by itself. This makes my set up and take down really fast. About 15 on both ends. And it allows the hostess to help me too! That makes good conversation!
How do I organize my paper work and who gets what?
A little extra to add to this training. Here is a look at the actual party supplies and how I organize mine. I have a party tomorrow so as I was organizing my supplies I thought, I should really just take a picture and show you how I do it! I’m super simple and organized. It makes all the difference in me being able to function effectively and feel comfortable! I’m also very visual. So if you’re like me, then I hope this helps you too!
My consultant binder for parties is where I carry one of each of our colorful marketing pieces for my party. I keep those fliers plus the starter kit sheet, the application, packages document etc, all in here and the current monthly special goes on the front. I don’t usually have people needing too much of this info. But if someone ask, this binder is my safety net!
Then I make a folder with the hostess info written on the outside. (I usually use cheaper files folders. I only had this one handy today for the picture). This folder has the papers I’ll actually hand out. This keeps me from having to sort through my whole bag to find the right things. I also keep this folder right by my purse when I drive. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve pulled out of my drive way and thought- Oh!! I need an address and I have to reach in the back seat for the info. So I print off the Event Summary with all the info on it and put that in my folder too. Also, If the hostess has a double dip I also write that on the front of the folder and write that on the host benefits form for her as well. Then she keeps the host benefits form at the end of the party. It has her double dip on it plus all the party orders I was able to collect that night as a starting place for her host benefits. This is a very exciting part for the hostess!

Your first party can feel super daunting, but being prepared with supplies and the order in which you do thing will make a BIG difference in how your professionalism and your comfort level. If all else fails, just tell people “I’ll get back to you on that!” It’s better than making something up and way more professional too!
