Pineapple-Palooza – Treats and Eats July Edition

July 23, 2025 by Jodi Weiss Leave a Comment

Watch this month’s episode of Treats and Eats with Krista and Jodi where we feature a few delicious pineapple recipes and talk about how Thrive is closing it’s doors and having a liquidation sale. It’s a sad day for all of us!
Please note: To be notified of future cooking demos you can text the word “DEMO” to 717-788-3663. We may not be featuring Thrive any more but we are going to still do SOME kind of classes each month!

July Recipes

Pineapple Salsa
Dole Whip

Unfortunately pineapple is out of stock but you can pick up anything that’s still available for 25% off during the liquidation sale and with free shipping if you shop through the Thrive delivery service or contact the person who invited you to watch the demo.

If you missed the pineapple from Thrive you can try some other brands like Augason Farms. I haven’t tried many others yet but I definitely will be in the future to find a good alternative for you.

July Cooking Demo Replay – “Pineapple Palooza”

PINEAPPLE SALSA

This fruity twist on a classic salsa recipe is oh so good.

Ingredients:
1/4 c. Thrive Red Peppers, chopped smaller if desired
1 c. Thrive Pineapple
1/4 c. Thrive Chopped Onions
1/4 c. Thrive Chili Peppers
2 T. Freeze-Dried or 1 T. Dehydrated Cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste
Juice of 1 Lime
Water to refresh
7 Grape Tomatoes

Directions: Mix all dry ingredients together in a small bowl. Add 1/2 to 3/4 cup of water gradually until all water is absorbed and all the food is refreshed. Add the grape tomatoes and stir gently. Serve with your favorite tortilla chips, yum!

DOLE WHIP

You can make a delicious ice cream treat in just about an hour with this quick and easy copycat dole whip recipe. If you have the pineapple not quite pureed all the way it make it have delicious little pineapple chunks in the ice cream that are reeeeally good too!

Ingredients:
1 c. Thrive Pineapple
2 tsp. Sweetener of choice
1/2 c. Whipping Cream

Directions: Powder the pineapple in a bullet or blender. Mix in sugar, honey crystals, or stevia. Add whipping cream and blend just until smooth. Put the mixture into a ziplock baggie and cut the tip off. Pipe into a frozen yogurt style swirl for fun. Put in freezer for an hour or so until it is solidified. Enjoy!
