Thrive’s March monthly delivery specials include a few fun packages that are worth looking at but I chose to create this month’s recipe based off of a few of the individual items. I wanted to make a pasta to help keep the cost per jar down a little bit and this one pot creamy chicken pasta turned out so great!

One Pot Creamy Chicken Pasta (Meal-in-a-Jar Recipe)
Don’t forget all ingredients will be cheaper and are available for free shipping for delivery customers if your order is over $100. One quart-size jar will serve 3-4 people
Jar Ingredients:
- 1/4 tsp. Basil
- 1/4 tsp. Oregano
- 1/4 tsp. Salt
- 1/2 tsp. Chives
- 2 T. Thrive Veloute Sauce
- 1/4 c. Thrive Instant Milk
- 3/4 c. Thrive Chicken Slices
- 1/2 c. Thrive Red Peppers
- 1/3 c. Thrive Mozzarella Cheese
- 2 c. Rotini Pasta (can use gluten-free noodles)
Directions:
To make jar: Add all ingredients to a quart-sized jar in order listed. If putting in reverse order you can add heaping servings. Add an oxygen absorber or seal with a foodsaver jar lid attachment.
To prepare: In a large frying pan bring 3 cups of water to a boil. Add contents of the jar and stir well. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until noodles are fully-cooked.

Remember feel free to customize your delivery if you already have some of these items on hand or want to substitute a different product or brand to make the one post creamy chicken pasta. Also make sure to adjust your delivery each month for the new recipe so you don’t get sent the same items again!

Looks wonderful! But what is the shelf life once everything is opened and put in the jar?

It’s 1-2 years unless you remove the oxygen and then it’s extended to 5-7 (depending on storage conditions)
