Thrive’s December monthly delivery specials include Instant Milk at 50% off and I had some good ideas for yummy drink mixes using it. I did a poll in our Facebook Group to see if you’d rather have a hot cocoa or an egg nog mix and Hot Cocoa won so I tested lots of recipes and here is the winner!

Hot Cocoa Mix (in-a-jar)
Don’t forget all ingredients will be cheaper and are available for free shipping for delivery customers if your order is over $100. A pint-sized jar will make 4-8 cups of hot cocoa.
Jar Ingredients:
- 2/3 c. Powdered Sugar, sifted
- 1/3 c. Unsweetened baking cocoa
- 2/3 c. Thrive Instant Milk
- 1/3 c. Mini Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Directions:
To make jar: Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Pour into a pint-sized jar using a funnel. Attach a cute gift tag with twine or ribbon and use it for a gift or use the regular labels and tape them on for home use. You can also make a bigger batch and pour into a cookie jar or larger mason jar to have delicious homemade hot cocoa all winter long!
To prepare: Add 1/4 c. to 1/2 c. of hot cocoa mix to 1 c. of boiling water. Stir well. Top with mini marshmallows or whipped cream if desired.
To make single-serving jar gift: For a prettier jar for a neighbor, teacher, co-worker gift use a 1/2 pint size jar and add half the amount of ingredients in the order listed above. Attach this individual serving gift tag with ribbon or twine.
