Broccoli Cheese Soup Meal-in-a-Jar

January 11, 2023 by Jodi Weiss Leave a Comment

Thrive’s January monthly delivery specials lent to several “healthy-ish” recipes that we shared in our virtual cooking demo this week (You can view the replay here). But I opted for this yummy broccoli cheese soup for the meal in a jar recipe because it is so easy and tasty on cold winter days.

Check out what all the January Thrive Life monthly specials are!

Broccoli Cheese Soup (Meal-in-a-Jar)

All ingredients will be cheaper and are available for free shipping for delivery customers if your order is over $100. A pint-sized jar will provide 2 small servings.

Jar Ingredients:

  • 1/4 c. Thrive Instant Milk
  • 1/4 c. Thrive Cheese Sauce
  • 1 T. Thrive Butter Powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 c. FD Onion Slices
  • 1/2 c. Thrive FD Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 c. Thrive FD Broccoli

Directions:

To make jar: Add ingredients to the jar in the order listed. You will need to squish the broccoli a bit and fill in on the sides of the jar to make it fit. If you don’t want to smash your broccoli you can add the broccoli before the cheese and let the cheese sprinkle down between the layers. Add an oxygen absorber or seal with a foodsaver jar lid attachment.

To prepare: Bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add contents of jar and stir to combine. Reduce heat and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until cheese is melted and soup is thick and smooth.
