Who says you’re not allowed to eat Apple Pie for breakfast? Because that’s exactly what we did around here this morning! I was experimenting with the Apple Pie Smoothie Recipe from my new Pantry Pack Club and it was so yummy I decided to whip up a double batch and save it for my kids in the morning. I put all the ingredients in a ziplock back and just added water and ice in the morning. They felt like they had a huge treat and it was an easy healthy breakfast for me to make. #momwin #kidwin #winwin
Apple Pie Smoothie Recipe
Ingredients:
2 cups Thrive Fuji Apples (on sale in May)
1/2 cup Thrive Quick Oats (on sale in May)
1 cup liquid (almond milk or regular)
1 cup ice
I tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of nutmeg
Pinch of ground ginger
Optional 1-2 teaspoons of honey or sweetener if desired)
Directions:
Powder up apples and oats, then add all other ingredients and blend. If you have a strong blender you shouldn’t need to powder them first.
Best if let mixture sit overnight then blend in the morning.
