Featured Recipe – Mu Shu Beef Stir Fry
I LOVE finding or creating recipes that use the monthly specials. It makes cooking that month a lot cheaper if I can make it a few times 🙂 Usually I feature a meal-in-a-jar recipe and I have a great one I’ll be emailing out next week (think beef stroganoff using the beef dices and mushrooms … yum!). But today I stumbled on an awesome stir-fry recipe that uses literally SIX of the eleven items that are on special. So it’s a great month to grab those items and give this meal a shot.

Summer Lemonade/Cookie Stand Idea
Last but not least, you may have noticed that Macaroon cookies are also on sale this month. Last summer my 5-year old helped me organize a patriotic lemonade stand and it was soooo fun. So if you want to plan ahead for July, you can do this for 4th of July parties or let your kids make a little fun money. We made limeonade (one scoop each of lemon and lime powder) and added the strawberries and blueberries to flavor it. I also used food coloring to die the cookies but I bet you could use crushed up fruit powder instead! Give it a shot and share a picture in our Facebook group if you do.
