A few months ago I was dreaming this recipe up, made it, and completely forgot to share it! So with it being Christmas season I figured it would be appropriate to share. Does anyone else make chocolates at Christmas time?
How the recipe came about
So I don’t know if you like eating cookie dough, but personally I would rather eat cookie dough than cookies I like it that much. The problem is the whole salmonella poisoning thing. Well the Thrive Classic Cookie Dough mix has powdered eggs in it so you can eat it without worrying. One day while I was using the Thrive Peanut Flour I thought it would be good to add the Thrive Peanut Flour to the Thrive Classic Cookie dough for peanut butter cookies. Then I thought it would be even better to add it to the cookie dough and dip the balls in chocolate and not even bother baking them. And the chocolate peanut butter balls were born.
Ingredients
1 cup butter
Thrive Classic Cookie Dough mix
Thrive Peanut Flour
2 cups of chocolate chips or dipping chocolate
Directions
Whip 1 cup butter in mixer until light. Add 2 cups of cookie mix and 1 cup of peanut flour. Keep adding peanut flour or cookie mix until you reach a consistency you can roll the dough into balls. For a more peanut butter flavor use more peanut flour. You may like a more “dry” or “wet” texture. Place balls in fridge for about 10-15 mins. Melt chocolate over a double boiler or in microwave. Dip balls and place back in fridge. Once cooled ENJOY!
