May Q-Pon: Freeze-Dried Red Bell Peppers

Freeze-Dried Bell Peppers ON SALE

Each month ONE item is on sale at a significant discount for customers on the Thrive Monthly Q Program. It’s called the Q-Pon item. This month the Freeze-Dried Freeze Dried Red Bell Peppers are the featured product. This would be a good item to stock up on this month if you are on the Q!

THRIVE Red Bell Peppers are just the thing to spice up any of your favorite foods. Try using red bell peppers in salsas, stir-fry, and soups. The bold taste will give a kick to your typical meal.

Re-hydration Instructions:
Add 1 cup THRIVE Red Bell Peppers to 1/3 cup of water. Add more water until moist, but not soggy.

RECIPE: Sweet Pepper Dip

Ingredients:
1 c. THRIVE™ Sour Cream Powder + ½ c. cold water
2 tbsp. olive oil
2 c. THRIVE™ Red Bell Peppers (FD)
¼ c. water
2 tsp. THRIVE™ White Sugar

Instructions:
Mix sour cream and olive oil in a bowl. Blend peppers into a powder in a food processer or blender. Add water to bell pepper powder and mix until powder is moistened. Add red pepper mixture to sour cream
mixture. Add sugar and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until thickened.

RECIPE: Texas Caviar

Mix:
½ tsp. salt and ½ tsp. pepper
¼ C. olive oil
¾ C. Vinegar
1/3 C sugar

Rinse and Drain:
1 can each: black eyed peas, pinto and black beans
1 C. corn (reserve liquid)
1 small jar pimento or roasted Red Peppers
1/2 C. Freeze-Dried Green Peppers (reconstitute in juice from corn)
1/2 C. Freeze-Dried Red Peppers (reconstitute in juice from corn)

Directions:
Mix all Ingredients. Make 4-6 hours ahead of time. Serve with tortilla chips.
