Holiday Recipe: Mushroom Sage Stuffing

Uncategorized
So when I saw this recipe's first ingredient was bacon I thought, hmmm what could be wrong with it? Then I saw that there were mushrooms in it. I'm so not a mushroom fan, but my ENTIRE family loves them. So what do you think? Should I try it for them? To be nice? If you are a mushroom fan I think you should try it, because every recipe from Chef Todd is amazing, AND the great thing about Freeze Dried Mushrooms is you can buy a can and then use them when you want. No more rotting, leftover fungus in your fridge... Can you tell I don't love mushrooms? Holiday Recipe: Green Bean Casserole

Uncategorized
I remember the very first time I had green bean casserole. The crunchy onions, the creamy mixture. I think I was somewhere around 25 years old before I had it. I'm not sure how I missed out on it my whole life prior to that. Last year I was assigned to bring green bean casserole the family thanksgiving. Even though I loved green bean casserole from the first time I had it, I have come to not love canned green beans. The mushiness just isn't that appealing to me anymore. When I got to make this dish last year, I used freeze dried green beans and let me tell you... they were SO much better than canned mush. Here's a recipe for green casserole Thrive Style from Chef Todd. I'll…

Homemade Ranch Dip

Uncategorized
So this recipe is for a homemade ranch-like dip. This dip tasted so fresh and delicious. I'm a big fan of the recipe for a lot of reasons: It is homemade and free of preservatives and ingredients I can't pronounce It uses ingredients I often have on hand (thanks to freeze dried spices, and powdered sour cream) I can make it as thick or thin as I would like depending on how much liquid I add The fresh (or freeze dried) instead of dehydrated spices made it delicious! Ingredients: 1 c plain greek yogurt (full fat) 1/2 c. sour cream (or sour cream powder) 1 t. onion powder 1/2 t. garlic powder 1/2 t. dill (I used freeze dried cilantro instead) 1/4 t. pepper 3 T. minced fresh parsley (or…
