Baking with Powdered Milk

Uncategorized
Who doesn't love a sinfully delicious Sunday dessert? A few weeks ago we were assigned to bring the dessert for family dinner. I had eaten this dessert a few years ago and thought it would be a great one to bring. One thing I LOVE about having Thrive on hand is it makes last minute meal planning so much easier. Another thing I love however is I can bake with no waste. Read on to see what I mean by that. Well my family doesn't drink milk. Most of my kids have some "sensitivities" to it. They can tolerate it in desserts or cooking but drinking whole glasses of it upsets their bellies. So I don't buy it. There is never milk in my fridge. When a recipe calls for…

Baby Food with Thrive

Uncategorized
I wish I would have known about this with all my babies. Seriously. This is a time saver. I used to peel and boil sweet potatoes and put the foods in the freezer. There is no added water that I'm paying for. I'm not buying 100's of plastic or glass jars I feel guilty putting back into the universe. Store-bought baby foods are probably boiled to the point where most of the nutrients are gone. Once a store-bought baby food jar is open I have to use it all or refrigerate it. This comes with me in my diaper bag and I can use however much I want of it. I can put 10 veggies into one mixture Now some people don't do baby food at all and go straight…

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Uncategorized
A few months ago I was dreaming this recipe up, made it, and completely forgot to share it! So with it being Christmas season I figured it would be appropriate to share. Does anyone else make chocolates at Christmas time? How the recipe came about So I don't know if you like eating cookie dough, but personally I would rather eat cookie dough than cookies I like it that much. The problem is the whole salmonella poisoning thing. Well the Thrive Classic Cookie Dough mix has powdered eggs in it so you can eat it without worrying. One day while I was using the Thrive Peanut Flour I thought it would be good to add the Thrive Peanut Flour to the Thrive Classic Cookie dough for peanut butter cookies. Then…

Beach Street Lemon Chicken Linguine

Uncategorized
This is the meal my 5 year old requests EVERY single time I ask him what he wants for dinner. He has loved it for years. It's a little bit spicy and he calls it "spicy chicken". When he was really little though he called it "Pisees Chegen". I miss that cute little 3 year old talk sometimes. A common term over at Thrive Life is "Thrive-a-lize". Whenever you take one of your favorite recipes and incorporate Thrive foods into it, you have "Thrive-a-lized" a recipe. Since this is such a requested meal in my home I've definitely had it Thrive-a-lized a few different ways. A couple weeks ago Jodi and I were talking about how we can use Thrive lemonade powder. It comes unsweetened so you can add your…
