Powdered Milk Mysteries Revealed

Powdered milk is a common item that people store for long term emergency situations for many reasons. It has enough nutrients to allow you to sustain life even if it was the ONLY thing you were eating/drinking, you cannot store fresh milk in a powerless emergency, and milk is a very common ingredient in many recipes. Ways to Use Freeze-Dried Fruits

Thrive Fruits
SNACKING: We love to just eat the fruit straight. Our kids eat them instead of fruit snacks, and they are a much healthier snack. BAKING: Adding freeze dried fruits to baking is so easy. You can add them to muffins, pies and more. Check out how Jodi made a Blackberry pie for her husband using freeze dried blackberries.  Jodi also used some freeze dried fruits in her famous 4th of July Patriotic Jello CEREALS: Try adding some of your freeze dried fruits to oatmeal, cereals, pancakes or any other breakfast foods. Most of the time we just add the fruit dry and let the liquid of the cereals hydrate the fruits. SYRUPS/JAMS: Freeze dried fruit is great for making syrups and jams. Holiday Recipe: Green Bean Casserole

Uncategorized
I remember the very first time I had green bean casserole. The crunchy onions, the creamy mixture. I think I was somewhere around 25 years old before I had it. I'm not sure how I missed out on it my whole life prior to that. Last year I was assigned to bring green bean casserole the family thanksgiving. Even though I loved green bean casserole from the first time I had it, I have come to not love canned green beans. The mushiness just isn't that appealing to me anymore. When I got to make this dish last year, I used freeze dried green beans and let me tell you... they were SO much better than canned mush. Here's a recipe for green casserole Thrive Style from Chef Todd. I'll…
